Irish Creek is being developed by Castle & Cooke, a company with a long and respected history. In the 1850s, Samuel Northrop Castle and Amos Star Cooke were a couple of entrepreneurs in Hawaii who started a number of businesses including shipping and land acquisition. Their Hawaiian pineapple plantations evolved to become Dole, one of the largest food suppliers in the world today. For 150 years our founders have provided us with guidance and a philosophy still followed today that sets us apart from our competitors, to: “Create and deliver lasting value for every customer.”

Castle & Cooke is a privately held company owned by our chairman, David H. Murdock who controls the company's diverse portfolio of businesses. Our greatest assets are our land holdings, as well as real estate developments and ownership, including resorts, residential communities and commercial properties. Castle & Cooke's 150 years of success is best summed up by Mr. Murdock's credo, “to do the impossible, you must see the invisible.”
