The NCRC is a public-private partnership, where the best and brightest from North Carolina universities will work with biotech professionals from around the world. UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State and Duke are among the schools that will have research facilities on campus—more specifically, the Dole-NC State Institute for Advanced Fruit and Vegetable Science; the UNC Center for Excellence in Nutrition; Duke’s Institute for Translational Medicine.
The NC Community College System is renowned for producing highly skilled and productive technology workers, just the kind needed at the NCRC. In fact, BioNetwork Community College instructors will run a 40,000-square-foot center for biotechnology education and training.
